Practice Partner | Invisalign® | Cosmetic Dentistry
Rich graduated from Birmingham University in 1993, and following several successful years at large practices in Birmingham and Worcestershire, he moved to Crewe to join The Old Surgery Dental Practice as a partner in August 2000.
Rich is highly committed to a preventive approach to dentistry, working in conjunction with the Old Surgery Hygiene team to help his patients attain and retain excellent dental health.
Whilst working in Worcestershire Rich attended postgraduate “hands-on” training courses at Birmingham Dental Hospital in the use of fixed orthodontic braces for adults and children, and treated his registered children under the guidance of the Dental Hospital. Since then he has continued to develop his interest in cosmetic adult orthodontics, and has also undergone certification in provision of Invisalign invisible braces and “MTM” (minor tooth movement) and “Secret Smiles” Lingual invisible braces. These techniques coupled with experience in comprehensive orthodontic techniques allows Rich to provide minimally invasive cosmetic orthodontic techniques for straightening and improving smiles where possible without the need for more destructive crowns or veneers.
He spent 2012 completing a Certificate in Cosmetic and Aesthetic Dentistry with the prestigious Tipton Training Academy, and was delighted to have been given the accolade of Best Dentist by the Academy.
Rich is also now a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and in 2013 completed the Dawson Academy to study the diagnosis and management of tooth wear, occlusion and jaw joints.
Rich has previously been an approved as a trainer for Graduate Dental Surgeons by the Mersey Deanery during 2002 and 2003, and is also past president of North Staffordshire Society of Dental Surgeons. He is currently the Honorary Treasurer of South Cheshire Local Dental Committee.
